Descriptions:
The Northrop N9M Flying Wing returned to the skies of Southern California on the 15th of May, 2010 at the annual Planes of Fame Air Show. The wing is piloted by Ron Hackworth of Planes of Fame. The Wing had been grounded for over 2 years for work and this years air show crowd was treated to her return to the public. The Museums flying wing is the only flying example of the original 4 N9M proof of concept aircraft built by the Northrop Company to validate the flying wing concept. This aircraft was the final aircraft of the series. To see this and many more unique, rare and historically important aircraft, visit Planes of Fame Air Museum in person or online.
