The Boeing 747 is known as the “Queen of the Skies”. This film shows many aircraft landings and takeoff’s filmed between 2012 and 2020. With Atlas Air, Air Bridge Cargo, Qatar Amiri Flight, Government of Brunei, Turkish Government, Cargolux, Silkway, Panalpina, UPS and beginning with Global Supply Systems/ British Airways World Cargo.
I trawled through a lot of footage and found what became my opening scene, from a flight over the top of Stansted Airport, with a BA World Cargo 747-8 pushed back, it cuts to the aircraft on the ground, into a small ‘arty’ title sequence and then scenes of the many liveries of the “Queen of the Skies”
I’ve tried something a little different, to present the video with brighter, richer colours, increased sharpness and letterbox bars. I’ve also included some fairly ‘artistic’ looking shots. Bearing in mind that this is a compilation of footage over many years, I never set out with this editing style in mind, so adding it ‘post production’ took some time. Anyway, it allowed me to be a bit more creative.
